California, a Capstone, and Carnegie

I have three exciting new announcements for you all today. First of all, I recently was afforded the opportunity to visit and audition at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music for their Keyboard Collaborative Arts Master’s program. It was an incredible visit, and I hope to be able to study there in the fall. A special thanks to Dr. Smith, Dr. Fitzgerald, and all the others who make those auditions possible.

Secondly, I now know the date of my senior recital! I will be presenting this capstone of my time here at Baylor on April 13 at 4:00 (see my “upcoming events” page). I hope you can join me for an evening of music ranging from jazz to Neo-Romantic and even some musical theatre.

Finally and most incredibly, I will be making my Carnegie debut at the end of May (also under my “upcoming events” page). I am so blessed to have been selected as one of the winners of this year’s Semper Pro Musica competition, and am grateful to Dean Mortenson, Kathy Johnson, Jill Gusukuma, and all the others who make this competition and trip possible. It will be my first time to the Big Apple, and what an incredible first time it will be!
